Gotland



The City Wall around Visby is said to have been finished in 1288 and is almost three and half kilometres long. Today there is 27 land towers and nine saddle towers still remaining. The wall was restored in the eighteen hundreds. Visby and its city wall is on the UNESCO world heritage list.
